Build a Sleep Medicine Career at the Level You’ve Earned.
Dream Sleep Center is looking for exceptional APPs who want meaningful clinical work, strong support, a career that can evolve — and a compensation model that recognizes the value of real sleep-medicine experience.
You are more than a provider slot on a schedule.
A strong APP career should reflect your experience, your contribution and the life you are trying to build.
Some APPs want to become exceptional sleep clinicians and focus primarily on patient care. Others want to mentor newer clinicians, lead workflows, build programs or take on greater responsibility over time.
We begin with the same question we ask physicians: if your career and life have gone extraordinarily well five years from now, what does that look like?
— Dream Sleep Center recruiting philosophy
Your starting point should reflect what you already know.
Dream's APP model is built around increasing competence, autonomy and contribution — not pretending every candidate requires the same development path.
Newer to sleep medicine
Structured specialty training, closer review, clear escalation pathways and a deliberate ramp toward independent competence.
- Higher training investment
- More frequent review
- Progressive autonomy
Demonstrated sleep competency
Greater independence, lower training burden and a role increasingly centered on clinical production, patient outcomes and efficient care.
- Reduced supervision burden
- Greater clinical autonomy
- Transparent productivity upside
Experienced clinician + multiplier
Highly capable sleep APPs may mentor others, improve workflows, lead programs and contribute beyond their own patient panel.
- Mentorship + development
- Program / workflow leadership
- Additional value recognized
Practice at the top of your APP license — with physician support when you need it.
APPs are an important part of Dream's sleep-medicine model. The work is built around direct patient care, clear protocols, appropriate escalation and a connected diagnostic-to-treatment pathway.
Consult → Test → Results → Treat → Follow
The APP works inside a full sleep-medicine platform rather than a disconnected visit model. Clinical care is connected to testing, physician interpretation, treatment pathways, PAP/DME support and follow-up.
The goal is not to make the APP do everyone else's job.
We build clinical support and repeatable workflows around the provider so time is spent on patient care and clinical judgment rather than avoidable clerical friction.
Clinical support
MA / sleep-coordinator support for preparation, flow, orders and patient follow-through.
Documentation support
Scribe-supported workflow is designed to keep documentation moving during the clinical day.
Freedom Maps
Detailed SOPs, scripts and escalation pathways make repeatable work consistent and easier to improve.
Physician access
APPs have a clear clinical escalation pathway rather than being left alone with questions beyond their experience.
Build the career around the life you are actually trying to live.
Compensation matters. So do autonomy, time, family, mastery, meaningful work and the ability to grow without having to leave the organization to find the next challenge.
Pay should follow experience, production, quality and responsibility.
We do not believe an APP who requires extensive specialty development should be economically treated exactly the same as a proven sleep clinician who can contribute with far less ramp and supervision.
Experienced sleep APP? Tell us exactly what you bring.
If you have meaningful sleep-medicine experience — especially a proven patient panel, PAP expertise, complex sleep follow-up experience, prior specialty leadership or experience developing other clinicians — we want to understand it. The more independently and effectively you can contribute, the more aggressively we are prepared to value that experience.
Exact compensation formulas and individualized illustrations are reserved for the confidential APP briefing and recruiting conversation.
Learn it. Own it. Improve it. Then help others grow.
The amount of onboarding depends on where you start. Experience shortens the training burden; newer sleep clinicians receive a more structured development path.
Build a serious healthcare career in a place that supports the rest of your life.
Dream Sleep Center serves Southern Colorado from Pueblo and Colorado Springs. APP opportunities may be structured around organizational needs and candidate fit, with our larger growth strategy centered on building strong local teams and durable clinical systems.
For candidates relocating to Colorado, the conversation is about more than the job: family fit, commute, housing, schools, outdoor access and the kind of week you want to live.
Growth. Love. Ownership. Excellence.
We want excellent clinicians who are also excellent teammates. Productivity matters, but it does not excuse poor communication, entitlement or unwillingness to improve.
We are looking for a PA or NP who wants to become exceptional — or already is.
Experience is highly preferred. We are especially interested in APPs who already understand sleep medicine and can demonstrate strong judgment, patient communication, PAP management and efficient clinical practice.
We will also consider an outstanding clinician who is newer to sleep medicine when the person has the learning ability, ownership mindset and long-term fit to justify the training investment.
What APP candidates usually want to know.
Are you hiring both PAs and NPs?
Yes. The APP pathway is designed for Physician Associates (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who fit the clinical, cultural and licensure requirements of the role.
Do I need prior sleep-medicine experience?
It is strongly preferred, but not absolutely required. An experienced sleep APP can enter at a more advanced level with a shorter development burden. A strong clinician who is new to sleep medicine may be considered for a structured development pathway.
Will Dream pay more for sleep-medicine experience?
Yes. Proven sleep-medicine experience has real value to us, and we are willing to pay a premium for an APP who can contribute at a high level with less training and supervision.
What does the APP career path look like?
The working model has three broad stages: Development, Established, and Advanced / Leadership. Progression is based on demonstrated competence, autonomy, clinical contribution and the additional value you choose to create.
Is there room to lead?
Yes, for the right person. Advanced APPs may mentor other clinicians, improve workflows, lead programs and take on responsibility beyond their own patient panel.
What if I mainly want to practice clinically?
That can be an excellent path. Leadership is an opportunity, not a requirement for every APP. A highly capable clinical producer can create significant value without becoming an administrator.
Experienced in sleep medicine? We especially want to hear from you.
Request the confidential APP career briefing and tell us what you have already built, what you are great at and what you want the next five years of your career to look like.
