01 / Program guide / 4 pages

The employer pathway

Start with unused capacity that patient demand could support. The pathway connects candidate selection, 80 live foundation hours, approximately six months of supervised home-laboratory development, preceptor support and registry preparation. Accelerator PLUS includes 12 months of active coaching and community access.

The guide compares Foundations, Workforce Accelerator, PLUS and employer partnerships. It explains the employer’s responsibilities for employment, suitable experience, supervision, protected teaching time and clinical governance.

02 / Readiness checklist / 2 pages

Prepare the candidate and the laboratory

Use the checklist to review candidate fit, night-work expectations, primary and backup preceptors, suitable supervised shifts, competency documentation and the intended credential pathway. Assign owners to unresolved items before enrollment.

Include cohort timing, travel, training payroll, local supervision and progress reviews in the launch plan. Six months is a development target; advancement depends on demonstrated readiness and applicable requirements.

03 / Economics worksheet / 4 pages

Compare the full employer investment

Estimate genuinely additional completed studies, expected collections, productive payroll and other study costs. Use positive operating contribution to estimate recovery, including the period before productivity begins.

The hypothetical example uses two scheduled studies per shift, three shifts per week, 48 operating weeks and 85% completion. It produces 244.8 expected completed studies and $59,760 of annual operating contribution under the stated collection and cost assumptions. These are arithmetic illustrations, not reimbursement rates or promised results.

The internal-training comparison includes curriculum development, applicable registration or recognition work, materials, clinical supervision and displaced productive work. Its starting development estimate is 160 combined staff-hours, allocated between roles. The worksheet separates physician and technologist opportunity costs from cash spending and models rework without claiming unsupported failure rates.
